Dr Edor Joseph Joined CMDA Nigeria as a student from 200L and served as Class Pastor, Prayer secretary, School President, Zonal President and National President. As a Doctor, Joseph was the Director Advocacy, Public Policy and Coordinator for CMDA FCT municipal until December 2024. Participated in Planning and successful execution of the 5th and 6th JNC in Nigeria. He joined CMDA Liberia on arrival and actively participating in the LOC for the Western Regional Conference 2025.
As a Public Health Expert with 2 decades experience in leading and managing interventions for communicable and non-communicable disease (NCDs). He is the Technical Officer - Epidemiologist for Africa CDC in Liberia. Prior to joining Africa CDC, he was the Senior Program Officer II with the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs where he co-led USAID support on Global Health Security, Risk Communication & Community Engagement and Infodemic surveillance to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, National Primary Healthcare Development Agency and the Presidential Task Force on COVID 19 pandemic. He also worked with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Save the Children International (SCI), APIN plus, ERCC hospital etc. His professional expertise lies in strategic thinking, planning and coordination, using evidence-based research to design, monitor and evaluate interventions targeted at improving population health outcomes.
Joseph holds a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Jos, Nigeria, and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom
